How to Customize Your TikTok Experience for a Better Feed

Your "For You" page is the heart of TikTok, but you have more control over it than you think. By actively managing what you see and who can interact with you, you can create a more enjoyable and positive experience. Here's how to take control.
1. Fine-Tune Your "For You" Page
The best way to see more of what you love and less of what you don't is to tell the algorithm directly.
If you see a video you don't like, press and hold on the video.
A menu will appear. Tap "Not Interested."
TikTok will immediately start showing you fewer videos like that one. Doing this consistently is the most powerful way to personalize your feed.
2. Filter Unwanted Comments
Protect your mental space by automatically hiding comments with words you don't want to see.
Go to Profile > ☰ (Menu) > Settings and privacy > Privacy > Comments.
Turn on "Filter keywords."
You can then add specific words or phrases to your list. Any new comment containing these words will be hidden unless you approve it.
3. Block Accounts You Don't Want to See or Interact With
If a specific user is consistently posting content you dislike or bothering you, blocking them is the best solution.
Go to the user's profile page.
Tap the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner.
Select Block and confirm.
When you block someone, they cannot see your videos, comment, follow, or message you. You also won't see their content.
